HAMMERHEAD STRONG: Welcome Back Coach Chris!

Hello Herndon Hammerheads!

Chris Parkhurst grew up in Vienna, Virginia and swam for Dunn Loring Swim Club for 12 years; his favorite event was the 50 backstroke. Upon completion of his swimming career, Chris started coaching at Dunn Loring and just finished his 7th year with the Dolphins. While coaching the Dolphins, he helped lead the team to 4 division titles. Chris went to George C. Marshall High School, where he played football and swam for 4 years. He has a great love of sports and brings a lot of enthusiasm to coaching. You can find him on the sidelines at swim meets cheering and coaching loudly. Chris is currently a substitute teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools and really enjoys working with students daily. Chris is looking forward to a great summer and is excited to start coaching at Herndon! Go Hammerheads!
